Engaging in Solidarity Through Hope, Equity, and Relationships
OUR WORK
Build a Stronger Mental Health System in the Fox Valley
Mental health affects every part of community life. It shapes how people care for themselves and their families, stay connected to their communities, and access opportunities to thrive.

Across the Fox Valley, many people face barriers to care, support, and stability. ESTHER brings community members together to identify challenges, elevate local voices, and advocate for solutions that strengthen mental health systems for everyone.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Why Mental Health Matters in the Fox Valley
Many people struggle to find the support they need when they need it. Limited services, long wait times, and gaps between systems can leave individuals and families feeling isolated and overwhelmed. These challenges influence housing stability, educational outcomes, employment, and community wellbeing.
Addressing them requires strong partnerships and people willing to work together to improve the systems their communities rely on.
How ESTHER Supports Mental Health Advocacy
01
Build Connections That Strengthen Communities
People are more likely to thrive when they feel connected and supported. ESTHER creates opportunities for community members to build relationships, share experiences, and learn from one another. Through ongoing conversations and community engagement, participants develop the trust needed to address challenges together.
02
Bring Community Voices Into the Conversation
The people most affected by mental health challenges often have the clearest understanding of what needs to change. ESTHER helps community members share their experiences, participate in public conversations, and advocate for improvements that reflect local needs and priorities.
03
Develop Leaders Who Create Change
Community change depends on people who are willing to step forward and get involved. ESTHER helps participants build leadership skills, gain confidence, and become active contributors to conversations about mental health in the Fox Valley.
