Engaging in Solidarity Through Hope, Equity, and Relationships

OUR WORK

Create More Housing Opportunities Across the Fox Valley

Safe, stable housing creates the foundation for healthy communities. It affects a person's ability to participate fully in community life. Across the Fox Valley, many individuals and families face housing challenges that make long-term stability difficult. ESTHER brings community members together to support housing solutions and advocate for safe, affordable housing.

Why Housing Matters in the Fox Valley

When people have a safe place to live, they are better able to maintain employment, stay healthy and engage in their communities. Across Oshkosh and the Fox Valley, rising costs and gaps in support systems continue to create barriers for many residents.

How ESTHER Supports Housing Advocacy

01

Build Connections That Strengthen Communities

Housing challenges leave people feeling disconnected from the relationships and resources that help them. ESTHER brings together community members, advocates, and local partners to strengthen relationships and create opportunities for shared solutions.

02

Bring Community Voices Into the Conversation

People experiencing housing instability often have the clearest understanding of what is and isn't working. ESTHER helps community members engage local decision-makers and advocate for housing solutions that reflect real community needs.

03

Develop Leaders Who Create Change

ESTHER helps participants build leadership skills, gain confidence, and become active voices in shaping housing policies and community priorities.

See ESTHER's Housing Task Force in Action

ESTHER's housing work in Oshkosh and Winnebago County is supported by community organizers who help residents engage in conversations about housing policy, community needs, and local solutions. Their work includes community outreach, public engagement, and advocacy efforts focused on expanding housing opportunities and strengthening support systems.
